About the Fertility Toolkit
- This resource has been provided to iOH as an open access resource by Dr Divpreet Sacha of HHEI Hormonal Health Equity Institute divpreetsacha@herholistichealth.co.uk (April 2026)
- This resource is designed for occupational health practitioners who receive referrals or enquiries relating to employees undergoing fertility treatment, including IVF.
- It covers what fertility treatment involves clinically, the physical and psychological effects relevant to workplace functioning, the current legal framework for OH practice, and practical guidance on assessment, adjustments, and case management.
- The legal implications for any specific employer or case are for HR and legal advisers to determine; this resource supports OH decision-making, not legal determination.
- This is a foundational resource, not an exhaustive clinical review. Further development of a fuller case management framework and structured OH assessment tools is in progress.
