At gel Resourcing, we’re proud to be part of those moments, helping occupational health professionals take their first step and watching them thrive as they build meaningful, long-term careers in Occupational Health.
One particular story sticks with us.
Back in 2021, we had the pleasure of meeting a registered nurse with a background in ICU/HDU and medical screening. She was incredibly passionate about getting into occupational health, and had the skills and drive to succeed. The only thing she needed next was for someone to believe in her.
So what did we do?
We worked closely together and secured her an interview with a leading occupational health provider. They saw her potential and offered her a role with full training across key OH areas, including Health Surveillance and HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome assessments).
She flourished
Fast forward to today, she’s moved on to an in-house OH role with a well-known company, progressing as an Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) with responsibilities including complex case management.
gel Resourcing Founder and MD, Chris Rose, was recently reunited with her at the NEC, where she came to gel’s stand, to thank him. It was a full-circle moment and a true reminder of why we do what we do.
If you’re a nurse curious about occupational health, know that your clinical background is valuable. Your ICU, A&E, community or general nursing experience can translate into a fulfilling OH career, and we are happy to guide you through it.
