Management Referrals by employers to occupational health by the employer should be regarded as a supportive measure to provide advice regarding an employee’s condition, including what measures and adjustments may be appropriate to remove barriers to the employee’s full participation in the workplace. We have selected some resources to assist the the OH & Wellbeing Practitioner in dealing with referrals.
Case management, including close liaison between employee, manager, OH and others is seen as a cost-effective way of helping people return to work. SOme of the principles are the same but there is huge debate as to whether OH Practitioners should become too heaviliy involved in case management
