We are physiotherapists and other professionals who have an interest in work and health. We work to improve the health and wellbeing of workers so that they can do their jobs efficiently and effectively. We improve work design through ergonomics, to make work tasks comfortable and safe.  An ACPOHE Occupational Physiotherapist typically can produce a return on investment for an organisation of £3 for every £1 spent.

ACPOHE members work in diverse settings, including  Manufacturing, NHS, Service Industries, Offices, Retail, Healthcare, Ergonomics Consultancies, Public Sector  and Private Practice.   They   improve the safety, comfort and performance of the working population to reduce accidents and sickness absence, improve productivity and performance.  There are significant benefits to both employers and  employees. Some  members have specialist skills in helping people who are off work long term to return to work in a safe and sustainable way.

ACPOHE has a range of membership options for Physiotherapists (CSP-members) and related health professionals that share a professional interest in Occupational Health and Ergonomics. There are International and Student membership opportunities too.

For Physiotherapy members who are interested in further professional development in occupational health and ergonomics there are pathways to additional membership levels, in particular Registered membership which is related to SEQOSH accreditation.
