Who We Are

Tim Ellis

Tim qualified as a nurse in Nottingham in 1995. After a number of years in A&E, the Prison Service and ‘out of hours’ GP triage, it was whilst working for an agency he describes that he ‘fell into’ Occupational Health by doing a few shifts in a factory medical centre. That was over 20 years ago and he has since worked across many varied organisations; industry/ manufacturing; defence contractors; Higher Education; Warehousing and logistics, Power/ Utilities. He also completed his Post graduate SCPHN OH course at the University of Surrey.

Currently Tim is Head of OH & Wellbeing for Leicestershire Police.

Outside of work, he is a proud father of two. He has found a passion for running in more recent years and so far this has culminated in him completing the London Marathon in October 2021. He also trains in martial arts and is working towards his black belt in ITF TaeKwon-Do. Furthermore, he is passionate about providing defibrillators in his local community; he has actively fundraised for, and installed, several defibs. He maintains the social media platforms for his local community responder groups.
